Welcome to Graydon's Home Page. This humble starting point actually serves as a gateway to a large, eclectic collection of links and discussion areas. The Button Bar will point you immediately to areas of specific interest, but if you have a moment, the rest of this page will provide a bit more of an introduction to the features contained herein.
Graydon was born in New York City and raised in Tinton Falls, NJ. He attended Christian Brothers Academy, Brown University and Dartmouth Medical School where he received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1977. After internship, residency and fellowship training in Psychiatry and Child / Adolescent Psychiatry at Los Angeles County General Hospital and U.S.C. Medical Center, he worked at the LA County Adolescent Crisis Unit before founding the Center for Advanced Psychotherapeutics in Sherman Oaks, CA.
He recently moved back near his home town in NJ, where he now intends to utilize his therapeutic skills with families both locally and on the Internet. His primary interests lie in the areas of Parent Education and Family Dynamics. He's been professionally active in communities from Central LA to Pocatello, Idaho, attempting to lend his common sense approaches and technical expertise to addressing the serious problems which face today's teens and their families.
Graydon lives with his wife, Eileen and daughter, Adeline. His interests include computer technology, golf, cooking, camping, songwriting and music composition. One can usually find him in his recording studio, puttering around in the kitchen, or, most commonly, perched before the computer--- writing, editing, drafting, studying or just goofing around.
